Yep - me and Hammer Hammer Jenkins (that's "Abraham Lincoln" to the rest of you; when I was very little I was fascinated by Lincoln, and somehow thought that having the same birthday meant we were related. So combine my 2-year-old inability to say "Abraham" with my somehow morphing "Lincoln" into one of our family names, and you get Hammer Hammer Jenkins. Which my family still teases me about to this day. Geez, one mistake and they never let you hear the end of it!)
So, I'm now 41. I guess I got through the worst of my dismay at hitting my 40s last year - today I'm feeling pretty good. At least nobody makes me wear construction paper stovepipe hats on my birthday anymore. My niece is making my favorite meal for dinner tonight (spaghetti!), so I'm looking forward to that (I probably shouldn't have mentioned the stovepipe hat, now they'll probably make me wear one!)
Happy Birthday to all you Aquarian babies out there!

Congratulations on your birthday Grace, hope you will have a great day and year! I finished my 40 year "crisis" when I turned 38, since it was closer to 40 than to 35 :-) )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Grace :). Now let me shoot the stovepipe hat down. What is it by the way? My crisis came when I hit 39 :). I sent everyone I care about a "love" letter and some people were quite taken aback , haha!
Thank you, everybody! My spaghetti dinner was great, and we had cake, too!
Sans, a stovepipe hat is the tall hats that European and American men wore in the 1800s, like this: http://www.wardrobecostume.co.uk/admin/uploads/550/29_11338_Top_Hat_Stovepipe_550.jpg
They were felted hats, often made from beaver fur, which is one of the things that led to the decimation of American beaver populations in those days.
I think your idea of sending "love letters" to the people you care about is very sweet. Too often we don't remember to tell those we love how much they mean to us!
