I'm still here - again!

Well it's been kind of a nightmare last few months, but I think things are finally coming back together. Thank you to those of you who have continued to visit my blog, I hope you've still found the resources useful during this time that I haven't been posting.

So, if you're wondering where I've been - I moved across the country! During the move my computer kicked the bucket once and for all, so it took me some time to get another one. On top of that, just about everything that could go wrong, did. From my hosting service messing up and losing my website, to the dog chewing through the internet cable, right down to getting bit on the a** by a giant ant that got inside my pants when I stupidly stood too close to the giant anthill (durn thing bit me THREE TIMES on the rear - took hours for the pain to go away, and then my whole right leg was numb for over a day.)

But things are looking up now. Thanks to the help and support of some truly great friends (I'm so blessed!) I'm installed in my new home, got a new (used) computer, got most of my work stuff up and functioning again, and I'm finally getting caught up on everything. I'll soon have some blog posts about the Mother's Day project I last posted about (which has been finished and delivered since then) and some new tutorials. I'll also be listing a lot of new items in my store, so stay tuned!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and thanks again for your continuing support!

Some of the local scenery - I love old red barns.

My new roommate, Little Man ("laid-back" is an understatement.)

Welcome back Grace. Sorry to hear of all your ups and downs, but glad to hear everything is working out for you. Love the picture of your new room mate, brought a smile to my face. x

Hi Grace! Welcome home, wherever that is now. Your Little Man could be a twin to my Widget. Same markings and same laid back ways when he's in the mood.

We missed you....I am one of those that kept checking to see if you were around.

Thank you both, Debbie and Casey, it's so nice to see you both here! I've still been keeping up with your blogs as much as I've been able and enjoying all your posts.

Little Man is a great cat. He actually belongs (if any cat can be said to "belong" to anyone) to the friends I'm renting my new apartment from, but he decided to move in with me instead. Apparently he doesn't like babies, and they have 2 next door now (the most recent one arrived just last month.) So as soon as he determined that I was cat-friendly and baby-free, he moved in, lol. He's no mooch, though - he's been keeping me well-supplied with mice and chipmunks. :| (Now if I could just convince him to bring home chocolate instead...)

And by the way - I've always found it rather undignified when people hold their cats that way, and it's always seemed like cats just tolerate - but don't actually like - it. However, THIS cat will actually work himself into that position once he gets in your lap or arms. And then demand kisses, and as soon as you bend down to kiss him, he'll yawn in your face with his disgusting mouse-breath. He's a trip! :D

I wish my Xerxes still does that :) but he is almost 14 years old (human) and no longer as secured..(I feel sad just typing that). Anyway, welcome back, Grace!

Lol, that's funny, Sans! Thanks for the welcome back, and thanks to you, too, Rosanna! :)

hI Grace, I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. So glad things are getting better. I bought 2 ME party cookbooks from you on ebay. I was wondering if they are on the way? I really think they are cute and need them for a project. Thanks so much, Hugs~ Kim

Hello Grace, so nice to see you're back again! I have missed your posts and have also been checking out your blog now and then to see if I had missed something :-) Sorry to hear about all your troubles, but hope everything works like clockwork for you now!
Little man is just precious, love the photo! (I'm a cat person, but got allergic about 10 years ago. A bit sad, since until then I had had cats my whole life.)

Sorry to hear about that ant (!?) but it's good you're back, and up and running. Give the little man a hug and cuttle, he looks adorable!

About Me

My Photo
Griffins, traditionally, are Guardians. Often carved at temple doors in ancient times, they were said to guard the way to Wisdom. I, on the other hand, seem to be the Guardian primarily of odd bits of string, pinecones, scraps of paper, mismatched socks, old calendars, homeless imps and gnomes, pencils with no erasers, jokes nobody gets, forgotten gods, keys with no locks, and other people’s lighters. If any of these things might be of use to you, let me know.
